Fortress Festival 2025, Scarborough Spa: The Review

Once a year, thousands of black metal purists descend upon the sunny seaside town of Scarborough in a way that is visually reminiscent of Saruman’s Uruk-Hai terrorising the gentle and pleasant village folk of the Riddermark. Sigh – I Saw The World’s End (Hangman’s Hymn MMXXV Re-recorded) | Album Review

A triumphant resurrection of blackened grandeur, Hangman’s Hymn returns in full force—bolder, bloodier, and finally sounding the way Sigh always meant it to: chaotic, cathartic, and gloriously unrepentant.
