TEN BANDS YOU DO NOT WANT MISS AT 2000 TREES:

TURNSTILE: This may seem an obvious choice given that they’re one of the headlining acts, but in the past few years Turnstile have been an unstoppable force, bringing hardcore sounds further than ever before into the public eye, flying the flag for their genre and proving themselves as one of the most prestigious artists in the game right now.

ROYAL REPUBLIC: This quartet of fun loving Swedes, who self brand their music as “power disco”, are a rock n roll sensation that’ll have you boogieing on down like nobody’s watching, coming at you like a modern day fusion of Electric Six and The Hives, the band don’t make it over to the UK all that often, so go see them while you’ve got the chance!

HECK: Secret set? Not anymore, just a day before the festival kicks off it’s been revealed that ferocious thrashcore outfit HECK are back, and ready to unleash their brand of hardcore intensity upon The Cave stage at maximum velocity. Catch them at 3pm on Friday, or forever regret witnessing the return of one of the UK’s most fantastic underground live sensations.

HAGGARD CAT: If you want more of the same high octane raw energy from two of the members of HECK, you shouldn’t pass up the chance to catch these chaps slay it on The Axiom stage on Thursday afternoon, they’re on right before Holding Absence too, putting you in prime position to catch two fantastic bands back to back. The band often find their way off the stage and into the crowd during their shows, so expect maximum participation and the kind of spectacle showmanship many bands can only dream of coming close to.

THE CHATS: Aussie punk rockers The Chats scored a colossal hit with their 2017 single ‘Smoko’, causing the band to surge in popularity with their comedy laced, fast paced punk tunes. If you’re looking for a fun time, look no further than The Chats, they’ll have you smiling, clapping and singing along before you can say; “I’M ON SMOKO, SO LEAVE ME ALONE!”

STRANGE BONES: Ever wanted to know what it would sound like if Frank Carter joined The Prodigy? Well now you can find out, Strange Bones are the ultimate electronically charged punk experience, incorporating drum and bass, jungle and various other dance noise into their sound, frontman Bobby Wolfgang is an absolute whirlwind onstage (and off, as he will often join in down in the pit during the set), you can rely on Strange Bones to bring the thunder, AND the storm.

LONELY THE BRAVE: Big, emotional rock songs that’ll hit you right at your core, Lonely The Brave are one of the most special bands in the UK’s arsenal of artists, their musicianship coupled with new vocalist Jack Bennett’s huge singing voice, if you’re looking to be awestruck by something beautiful this weekend, Lonely The Brave are your band.

CHAPTER AND VERSE: One of the UK’s most promising rising stars, Chapter And Verse‘s ability to write infectiously catchy alternative rock tracks is unmatched, and the stage presence of this band is absolutely electric, with huge vocals and great guitar riffs, this is a band you’ll wanna keep eyes on for the future.

HERIOT: Marrying industrial, hardcore and sludge, the UK quartet have been levelling venues up and down the country. Swerving between ethereal, menacing clean singing and breakdowns heavier than a neutron star, Heriot are one of the best and brightest new bands in the UK and with their debut EP Profound Morality out now via Church Road Records, they’re only getting started.

VUKOVI: One of Scotland’s most entrancing and exciting live acts, Vukovi boast sweltering riffs, hefty breakdowns and big singalong moments, you’d be a fool to overlook the unique, unrivalled stage presence of vocalist Janine, while guitarist Hamish rips out the tasty distorted riffage.
