A belated night of mayhem in the midweek; after over a year since it's original release, Phoxjaw took to their resident Rough Trade for a celebration of their debut Royal Swan. With Last Hyena in tow, it was certainly a rowdy one for what is normally a quiet Wednesday night in Bristol.

As a quite miserable Saturday rainy day rolled in, it's clear that winter has arrived. But as always, the Lexington as ever is a place of warmth and community to get away of the harshness of outside. Arguably one of London’s best small venues it was ready to host Croydon’s finest export (after The Inbetweeners' James Buckley) in FRAUDS and a top array of supports from across the UK.

The past and present continuously insists on blurring the lines between our heritage and the future we are constantly carving every day, and London’s Royal Albert Hall is no different. The Grade 1 Listed amphitheatre dates back to 1871, and truly captures the grandeur of Victorian era Britain. Despite the towering glass doors and sleek-fitted bathrooms mixing with the classical stone architecture, the sound emanating from within the structure would make Prince Albert himself shudder.

Multi-roomed, beautifully decorated and very recently done up, Huddersfield’s pride and joy The Parish was the venue playing host to five incredibly noisy and talented heavy rock artists last night as part of the most recent Blood Youth run.

After 18 months of cancellations and delays, lost supports from Mountain Caller and a last minute drop out due to illness from Ithaca, it has felt for most bands that all tours were cursed. Finally though, Haggard Cat stepped onstage at The Grace with support from Graphic Nature.

It's the last night of tour, the boys are back on home turf and drinks are flowing en-mass; we recently popped down to Bristol's Louisiana for a night of math rock with Last Hyena and excellent company.
