Music Video Premiere: Klamp – Adult Proper

Mantic, rhythmic but yet suitably obtuse, the new single and video from noiseniks Klamp is just as surreal as trying to navigate this disturbingly chaotic world as a supposed proper adult. We’re overjoyed to premiere it.

Taken from their upcoming record Totaal Techniek – released tomorrow via Human Worth – ‘Adult Proper’ is just one raging gear of Klamp’s noisy, dirty, motorik engine. Whilst the band might be composed of members of IDLES, Pulled Apart By Horses, Tall Ships, Sex Swing, Mugstar and Manatees, this single is just one glimpse of the new mechanical beast that Klamp has birthed; an analogue, diesel-stained machine that has created by the welding of krautrock, industrial, post punk and noise rock panels. Those with even a passing interest in the genres aforementioned will find plenty to fawn over as they’re chewed by the gears that drive ‘Adult Proper’ and the wider machine that is Totaal Techniek.

On the video, Greg Wynne (vocals, guitar, electronics, percussion) states, ‘(It’s) another trippy slice of Troma esque low budget vibes with a nod to Gaspar Noe’s intense neon title cards melded into another psychedelic nightmare. Kind of what the song is!’

Totaal Techniek is released tomorrow via Human Worth, with 10% of all proceeds being donated to Compass Collective in aid of their work supporting the integration of refugees and people seeking asylum in the UK through the arts.
