After months upon months of speculation, Outbreak Festival have finally unveiled the first wave of names for next year’s event.
Following the event’s biggest year to date, 2024 sees the festival boasting what is arguably their strongest lineup thus far – a feat given how three headliners are still to be announced. Topping today’s announcement are the likes of JPEGMAFIA, Flatbush Zombies, Basement, Soccer Mommy, Thursday, Poison The Well, Mannequin Pussy, Balance And Composure and Harms Way. They will be joined by some of the most demanded talent within hardcore and adjacent circles such as Chat Pile, Mindforce, Hot Mulligan, Show Me The Body, Never Ending Game and Touché Amoré, just to name a few.
Now coming up to its thirteenth and taking place once again at Manchester’s B.E.C. Arena, Outbreak is a prime example on how ingenuity is the key component of success in live programming. Going from a 100 capacity all day hardcore event to a world renowned celebration of counterculture in all forms, the festival has ardently rejected genre norms to focus and champion the diversity within the global contemporary scene. In a move that counters the growing stagnation within live events as a whole, this year saw Outbreak greatly diversify its programming in order to host talent from outside the typical realms of hardcore, with acts such as Death Grips and Denzel Curry sharing stages with bands such as Converge and Code Orange. Yet, despite this widening spectrum, the festival retained the core ethos and ideology that binds hardcore as a collective community. Now with the festival further broadening their scope once again, it appears Outbreak are gearing up in what is set to be their biggest year to date.
Outbreak Festival 2024 takes place at Manchester B.E.C Arena between the 28th and 30th June. Find tickets and further information here, and see the lineup-up thus far below.
