Continuing our top 10 list of essential bands to watch at 2000 Trees 2018, we’ve hand selected some newcomers and established acts who perfectly resonate the noisy, friendly and artistic ethos that the festival proudly holds to so dear. Of course, whilst we would love to create a top 50 or so list of bands, we sadly don’t have the time. With that in mind here’s our final 5 bands which you need to watch at 2000 Trees next weekend! Black Honey Kicking off Trees on the Thursday at The Axiom stage, Black Honey are the ones NOT to miss this year. The quartet are descendants of garage-noise-inide-pop music, quite a mouthful to say, but not quite enough to describe their infectious rocky sound. With new music on the way, as teased by ‘I Only Hurt the Ones I Love’, they’ll be sure to get the energy pumping for the weekend ahead! Black Honey play The Axiom at 6.15 on Thursday the 12th. Bloody Knees It’s Bloody Knees first time at trees and maybe it will be their first time playing some new music? After their great success with single ‘Not Done’ following the Maybe It’s Easy EP, the four-piece are ones to watch at 2000 Trees, because their skater punk music will pump you up for the final night of the festival. Make sure you catch them at The Axiom on the Saturday! Bloody Knees play The Axiom at 3.30pm on Saturday the 14th. Sløtface Familiar faces return once again to Gloucester sunny field supposedly filled with 2000 trees (don’t think anyone has even counted though). Based in Stavanger, Norway, these guys are the ones to watch all weekend, as their dedication to live music is apparent in the energy they bring to the stage. Sløtface grace The Axiom stage on the Friday, so be sure to give their fantastic and empowering record Try Not to Freak Out a spin! Sløtface play The Axiom at 5.05pm on Friday the 13th. Blood Red Shoes Right of the bat of releasing their latest single ‘God Complex’, the gritty alt-rock duo will be bring their teeth clenching take on dynamic dance to the pastures of Upcote Farm once more. With an expanded arsenal of tracks that’s sure to set the site ablaze, this two piece act is not to be missed if you like your alt-rock youthful, dynamic and captivating. Blood Red Shoes play The Main Stage at 6.20 on Friday the 13th. Vukovi If you’re looking for a band to just have fun to, then you should be at The Cave nice and early on the Thursday because Vukovi are ready to steal your pints and get up close and personal. Personally there is only one way to start a festival and the energetic punk vibes that the quartet bring are just what you need. But don’t worry if you’re more of a chill person because their sound captures delicate ballads such as ‘Colour Me In’. Vokovi play The Cave at 4.10 on Thursday the 12th.
